About Ana
Ana is a printmaker based in Portland, Maine. Food has always inspired her art as it connects her to the people she loves most. Ana creates her prints from hand-carved linoleum stamps, which get covered in ink and pressed into paper. Every print that she makes is unique.
Heirloom Tomatoes
The featured print depicts four Inciardi tomatoes–a variety of tomato that Ana’s family cultivated generations ago in Italy. The tomato was brought to the United States by an ancestor who smuggled the seeds in as he passed through Ellis Island. Inciardi tomatoes are presently being grown and preserved by Ana’s wife, Addison, a farmer at Whatley Farm in Maine.
Form Meets Function
The Anastasia Inciardi Dutch Oven is beautiful, but it’s also a treat to cook with. The heavy duty cast iron construction retains heat very well. The stout profile provides a generous cooking area and allows for steam to escape for the perfect sear. The cream-colored interior makes it easy to monitor your food. Oversized loop handles give you a confident and safe grip.
