California AB 1200 Disclosure

The California Safer Food Packaging and Cookware Act of 2021 (AB 1200) requires cookware sold in California to disclose any chemical on California’s Candidate Chemicals list that is intentionally present in a product’s handles or food-contact surfaces. The chemical’s name must be published here, on our website, and linked to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC).

Our Dutch oven, along with the rest of our products, has undergone third-party testing and meets the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s standards for direct contact with food.

The chart below lists the materials in our Dutch oven so you can make an informed choice. Materials marked with an asterisk (*) are not Candidate Chemicals under California law — we include them only in the spirit of full transparency.
